Born on February 3, 1994, L.C. is a young known multi-talented person that is following her dream. She is a Poet, DJ, Emcee, and Actress. LC discovered poetry when she was in middle school, 7th grade. She was going through a lot of problems, and never had a chance to express myself so she decided to start writing. LC looked at videos of poets expressing themselves and got inspired.
LC kept writing for 2 years and had her first performance in 8th grade at a school poetry slam. She developed spoken word voice by going to workshops. Her very first mentor name is Jive poetic. he taught her how to write with more expression and taught her how to put emphasis on the way she speak. LC have been into spoken word for 3 years.
Her first slam was in 2009, and it was a group slam, her group won first place. The 2nd slam was the Knicks poetry slam, she auditioned, made it to the prelims, then to the semis, but didn't make it to the finals, but had fun in the whole competition. LC also slammed for the Urban Word NYC teen poetry slam and only made it to the semis. She also did the renaissance slam in Brooklyn, NY and didnt make it to the semis.
LC did an open mic in La Pregunta Arts Cafe in Manhattan and her very first feature was in Brooklyn, NY called More words for Haiti. LC attended workshops at Urban Word NYC from November 2009-Present, also attended Kahlil Almustafa's workshop in the Dwyer Cultural center in Harlem, the group has performed when the workshops were over.
L.C has performed in many places in the NY area and is planning to take her career all over the world. She inspires the youth to stay positive and wants the negative communities to vanish.
