As we enter 2012 and hip hop has fully evolved into the multimillion dollar genre of music that it is today we have now embarked on what use to be a joke as well as a rarity but now is the norm... The White Rapper.

The white rapper is no longer swaggerless and without soul. The white rapper not only speaks to white youth but all youth as well.  The white rapper comes from the same places that we do so the white rapper's stories have become relatable.  The white rapper is "gangsta", "hood", "certified" and respected?

Not taking anything away from the new crop of caucasion "clappas" but should we wonder if this has to do with the evolution of the white artist in hip hop or the growth of the business of hip hop which is making hip hop more "friendly" by selling our white brothers and sisters. Casting will be held at Deja vu book lounge (112 E. 116th street) Jan. 24th, 2012 from 12:20pm - 3pm and 4pm - 6:30pm
